Guwahati: Media Management entered into the final of the TOPCEM-ASJA Inter Media Cricket Meet defeating Assam Sports Journalists' Association (ASJA) by 51 runs in the final held at the Nehru stadium here today. Chasing 150 to win ASJA scored 98-4 in their stipulated overs. N Gohain (25) was the top scorer. Earlier elected to bat Media Management posted 149-8. While Govind Singh (50) scored half century Raj Hussain contributed 31 runs on the board. Subodh Malla Barua and Amoresh Sinha picked up two wickets each. The final would be held on March 12 where Media Management will face Gauhati Press Club.
Meanwhile Harendra Nath Baruah Inter Media Football championship will kick off tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium. Altogether eight teams will participate in the meet which final is slated for March 11.
