New Delhi: The upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) will witness for the first time that both Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya will lock horn against each other.

This will happen because the Pandya brothers are in two different teams. The all-rounder Hardik will lead Gujarat Titans in their debut campaign, whereas Krunal will be seen in action for Lucknow Super Giants in the T20 tournament.

Taking to the Instagram, Hardik reacted over this development and wrote, ''See you on the other side my bro.''

Earlier, the Pandya brothers were playing for the Mumbai Indians.

Interestingly, Krunal had entered the auction for a base price of Rs 2 crore. Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings were the franchises that initially showed interest in getting the all-rounder, engaging in an intense battle that soared the player's value beyond Rs 5 crore.

Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Giants joined the battle as his price soared above Rs 7 crore. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans too had showed interest in the all-rounder when his price reached Rs 7.25 crore.

Eventually, the Super Giants won the bidding war and took the player for a price of Rs 8.25 crore.
