South Africa Penalised For Maintaining Slow Over-rate In 3rd ODI vs England

Sentinel Digital Desk

NEW DELHI: South Africa have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against England in the third ODI in Kimberley on Wednesday. Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after South Africa were ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

"South Africa captain Temba Bavuma pled guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing," according to an ICC release.
