Young Assamese Player Riyan Parag Sold To RR For INR 3.80 Crore In The IPL 2022 Mega Auction

In the 2019 Indian Premier League, he became the youngest cricketer to score a fifty in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Guwahati: Assam cricketer Riyan Parag was sold to Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 3.8 crore in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Saturday.

For Parag, a bidding war took place between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Giants (GT).

Parag has been with the Royals since 2019.

In the 2019 Indian Premier League, he became the youngest cricketer to score a fifty in the history of the Indian Premier League.

He played for the India U19 team in the 2018 Youth World Cup which was captained by Prithvi Shaw and was bought by the RR in the IPL 2019 auction for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs.

So far, in 23 IPL innings for Rajasthan Royals, Parag has made 339 runs with the help of 29 fours and 12 sixes He has also picked three wickets as well.
