Book on World Cup soccer released

GUWAHATI: A book-Beduinor Dexot Footballor Dhou- written by renowned sports journalist Subodhmalla Barua, was released at a well-attended function at the AOA Conference Hall in the city today. Veteran journalist Dr Samudra Gupta Kashya, State Information Commissioner, released the book that carried beautifully narrated stories and photographs of the recently concluded Qatar World Cup. Barua visited Qatar during the mega event.

Releasing the book Kashyap said, "The book has many memorable events of the Qatar World Cup, besides a depiction of the social life in Qatar."

Among others present on the occasions were veteran journalist Balendra Mohan Chakraborty, Pabitra Gogoi, Bedabrata Misra, Sanjiv Phukan and publisher Mayaram Das.
