BHUBANESWAR: Manipur team stung by the defeat to Meghalaya in their previous game, ran rampant against a hapless Bengal side at the Kalinga Stadium in the evening kick-off. Bengal lost the game 1-4 and were knocked out of the competition, with two games yet to play. In another match a gritty Railways defence denied Meghalaya any chance as the game ended 0-0 at the Battalion ground. Meghalaya, fresh off a hard fought win over Manipur may have fancied their chances against a side that had been trounced by Manipur in the opening game. However, Railways men were successful to draw the match and earn a point from the game.
