Guwahati: : FIDE rated player Gautam Chakraborty of Doordarshan Kendra, Guwahati emerged champion in the Inter-Media Chess Tournament of the 13thTOPCEM-ASJA North-East Media Sports Festival 2022, organized by Assam Sports Journalists Association at its office premises in Nehru Stadium, here today. Chakraborty finished unbeaten in the four-round Swiss League tournament to bag the title with 4 points. Bubul Sinha of The Assam Tribune finished first runner-up with 3 points and Debashish Sinha (2 points), also of The Assam Tribune, had to contend with the second runner-up position with better tiebreak scores than Diganta Saharia (2 points) of Prag News.
