POTCHEFSTROOM: Three-time champion Netherlands beat Salima Tete led Indian team 3-0 in the junior women's hockey world cup semifinal in Potchefstroom on Sunday.
While it was the Indian team that started the game more aggressively winning three penalty corners in the first ten minutes, it was the Dutch team that opened its account first courtesy of a tremendous field goal in the 11th minute by Beetsma Teesa.
Another fierce counter attack in the 52nd was converted into a second goal by Fokke Luna in the 52nd minute. Before India could regroup, Netherlands' Dicke Jip scored her team's third goal a minute later. Agencies
