GAURISAGAR: Phulpanichiga Amarjyoti Health Club in Jhanji, Sivasagar organized Sivasagar District Level Inter club weight and power lifting competition at Phulpanichiga Anchalik Rass Utsav Kala Krishti Kendra yesterday in association with Sivasagar District Weight and Power Lifting Association.
In the mega sport event Sudarshan Saikia and Bornali Borah got best weight lifter award. On the other hand Biraj Gogoi and Joonmoni Das got best strong man and women in the meet. In the event Dikhowshree award conferred to Naba Bordoloi and Nur Alam Ali for performing fitness and body building. The function was attended by Satyabrata Gogoi, Assistant Director, Sports and Youth Welfare, noted sports person Bipul Hondique, Anup Konwer and others. Satyabrat Gogoi handed over a cheque to Lili Buragohain, the former international weight lifter from Assam Government as one time grant
