Junior National Boxing Championship kicks off in Don Bosco College ground

ITANAGAR: The Don Bosco College ground here, is all set to witness the 5th Junior Boys National Boxing Championship, which is scheduled to commence on Sunday.

The championship, organized by the Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association (AABA) under the auspices of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) and with the support of the state sports directorate, promises to be a thrilling event showcasing the boxing prowess of young talents from across the country.

The inaugural ceremony would be graced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with state sports and youth affairs minister Mama Natung and Boxing Federation of India (BFI) Secretary General Hemanta Kumar Kalita.

With more than 500 participants representing 35 states and Union Territories, the event is expected to be a fierce and highly competitive tournament. Young boxers from all corners of the country have converged in Itanagar, bringing with them their determination, skill and passion for the sport.

President of the Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association (AABA) Tadang Minu expressed confidence in their preparations as the host state.

She assured that Arunachal Pradesh is fully ready to provide a conducive environment for the championship and the local boxers are geared up to showcase their best performances during the event.

The Don Bosco College ground, a renowned venue for sporting events in Itanagar, has been meticulously prepared to host the championship. The organizers have left no stone unturned to ensure that all facilities and arrangements are in place, creating an ideal platform for the young pugilists to exhibit their skills and compete at the highest level.
