LONDON: Kush Maini has finished second in the 2020 British F3 Championship, improving on his third-place finish in 2018. The Indian picked up three race wins and nine podium finishes, missing out on the title to American Kaylen Frederick.
Maini had taken the championship lead after his first win of the year at Brand's Hatch and he continued to stay on top with a win at Donington Park. However, he ran into troubles in the next two rounds in which time Frederick gained on him. The American eventually took the lead and had a 13-point advantage heading into the final round at Silverstone on Sunday.
Maini finished with 448 points to Frederick's 499 while Ulysse De Pauw was third with 398. He had started his championship campaign on a three days' notice from his team Hitech GP. (IANS)
