GUWAHATI: A set of four players from the State, including top attraction Riyan Parag, today left the city to join the Rajasthan Royals for the forthcoming IPL Season. The competition will kick off in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19.

Most of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have decided this season to carry their own set of net bowlers to the UAE. The decision has been taken to keep the bio-bubble intact and also to avoid difficulty in finding net bowlers during their long tour in the UAE.

Altogether four upcoming bowlers from the State were selected by two IPL franchises who will be used in the net. Among the four Jitumoni Kalita and Rahul Singh, both are spinners, along with pacer Mrinmoy Dutta will join the net of Rajasthan Royals. On the other hand young pacer Mukhtar Hussain will be the part of Sunrisers Hyderabad's net bowling team.

Jitumoni, Mrinmoy and Rahul left with Riyan this evening. On the other hand Mukhtar will join the team on August 21 and will left for UAE on August 23.

Talking to the Sentinel over telephone Mukhtar today said that it was a big opportunity for him and he would try his best to gather some experience before the start of the new season.

"Actually I got selected in the Sunrisers Hyderabad through MRF Pace Foundation where I spent some time earlier for training purpose. It's a big opportunity for me as I shall get the chance to bowl some of the best batsmen of the world. I hope the experience that I will gather in UAE will help me a lot in the coming season."
