SIVASAGAR: The 4th All Assam Ranking Badminton Tournament, organized by the Sivasagar Sports Association under the aegis of Assam Badminton Association, in co-association with Chau-Lung-Syukapha Indoor Stadium, Sivasagar came to an end at the Chau-Lung-Syukapha Indoor Stadium, Sivasagar on July 13.
Shuttlers of Chau-Lung-Syukapha Indoor Stadium dominated the event with their performances as they won medals in all the categories of U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19 and Men category. In the men’s section, Animesh Gogoi won both singles and doubles titles and also won the U-19 singles category. Subhashreesmita Baruwati managed to earn double crowns in the U-13 and U-15 category. Bedagni Gogoi won the U-11 category while Pradyunma Bhuyan finished runners-up in U-17 category. Arian Baruwati and Anirban Gogoi finished third in the U-15 and U-19 category respectively.
Saurav Chaliha, president of Chau-Lung-Syukapha Indoor Stadium Management Committee congratulated the players for their magnificent achievements and said that they have proven their talents once again. “Their spirited performances and achievements have filled us with joy. I, on behalf of the Chau-Lung-Syukapha Indoor Stadium Management Committee wish them even greater success in the future,” said Chaliha.
