GAURISAGAR: Anjel Priya Saikia, daughter of Madhusmita Phukon Saikia and Partha Saikia (Akash) of Amguri, Sivasagar has brought laurel to Amguri as well as Sivasagar district by wining gold medal in the Northeast Zone India Taekwondo competition U-14 weight category held at Sonari college Indoor Stadium,
She has been selected for the National Championship to be held at Nasik, Maharashtra. She got training under the guidance of Master Raju Konwar of Assam Taekwondo Academy India, Amguri. Priya is a student of class IX in Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Amguri.
