GUWAHATI: ASEBSC registered a consolation victory against Barekuri FC in the Guwahati Premier Football League at the Judges Field here today. ASEBSC, already out of the competition, won the tie by 2-0 and Chandan Barman scored both the goals in the match. Barekuri lost in today’s game but they already cemented their place in the semi finals.

In the other game of the day Assam Police shared points with Gauhati Town Club after the match ended 1-1 draw. Srinivasan Singh put Gauhati Town Club ahead with a spectacular goal in the 25th minute and Bilson Daimary scored the equalizer in 65th minute.

With these two matches the group stage of the competition came to an end today. Both the semi finals will be held at the same venue on Friday. In the first semi final OIL will face DBI (2-45 pm) and in the second last-four match NEUFC will clash against Barekuri FC.
