ASEBSC retain GSA RG Baruah Super Division Football League title

GUWAHATI: Still three matches are left but Assam State Electricity Board Sports club ensured GSA RG Baruah Super Division Football League title one more time on Tuesday. The side in their 11th matches defeated FC Green Valley 3-1 at the Nehru Stadium today and collected 3 points.

It was the 11th straight victory for ASEBSC in this edition of the league and they have altogether earned 33 points which was enough for them to retain the title. This is the fifth consecutive Super Division League titles for ASEBSC and 13th overall.

The match between ASEBSC and FC Green Valley was well contested and both the outfits created several opportunities. But Green Valley failed to convert those into goal except one.

ASEBSC took the lead in 11th minute through Dwijoraj Boro and increased the margin in the 60th minute. This time Biswanath Karmakar scored for the winning side. Herojit Singh returned one for FC Green Valley in 68th minute before Tridev Boro sealed the fate of the game in 85th minute.
