There were several occasions when Sacheti visited Guwahati when the city hosted different international events. He was also the GTCC Chairman of Meghalaya National Games.

Recalling Sacheti's visit to Guwahati in connection with the international events Kalita said, "His organizing capacity was superb. We didn't face any problems to host various international meets in Guwahati only because of him. He always stayed away from the spotlight and contributed silently towards the promotion of the game."
