Assam arm wrestlers in Indian team for 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship

Six arm wrestlers from Assam are selected in the Indian team which will take part in the forthcoming 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held in Turkey from October 14-23.

GUWAHATI: Six arm wrestlers from Assam are selected in the Indian team which will take part in the forthcoming 43rd World Arm Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held in Turkey from October 14-23. Pran Pratim Chaliha, the secretary of the Arm Wrestling, Assam will also accompany the team. India will send 80 members squad in the tournament where around 3500 arm wrestlers from different parts of the world are expected to participate.

The selected arm wrestlers from Assam in the Indian team: Jagadish Barua, Siddhartha Malakar, Tridib Medhi, Abed Ali Hazarika, Anurag Dutta and Shobhdeep Nath.
