GUWAHATI: Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Omar Rashid retained as the president and the secretary of the Assam Badminton Association (ABA) respectively. The committee, which will be in the office for the next four years, was constituted during its Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday.

The new committee: President: Himanta Biswa Sarma. Working President: Tuliram Ronghang, Advisor: Mallika Sarma Baruah. Senior Vice President: Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Vice President: Pradip Hazarika, Pradip Buragohain, L Hemanta Singh, Nani Gopal Mahanta, Iftikar Ali, Amitava Dey, Badan Chandra Bora, Binit Gogoi, Ritu Baran Sarma and Manaranjan Brahma. Associate Vice President; Paran Hazarika, Paragmoni Mahanta, Nirode Baruah and Nakibur Rahman Hazarika. Secretary: Omar Rashid. Treasurer: Gautam Mahanta. Joint Secretary: Puranjay Sarma, Aminul Islam Bakshi, Digonta Buragohain, Pranab Jyoti Gogoi and Taranga Gogoi. Assistant Secretary: Abhijit Baruah, Manash Chetia, Rituraj Chetia, Nabajyoti Bora and Hemanta Kumar Das. Office secretary: Upen Chakraborty.
