GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association will develop three more grounds in different parts of the state as a part of their ongoing infrastructure development activities. All three would be used for regular cricket activities in the coming days. Among the three grounds one is at Tezpur Central University and the other two are at Biswanath and Furkating in Golaghat District.

Assam Cricket Association has recently taken series of steps to promote cricket in the state. Development works of infrastructure across the State are part of it.

The upgradation work of cricket ground at Amingaon in the city already got under way a couple of months back. Similar works would now begin in these three grounds also.

A team of Assam Cricket Association, led by secretary Devajit Saikia, recently visited all three venues and discussed the different matters related to cricket development with the officials of the local authority.

It has been learnt that five turf wickets with other cricket facilities will build up at Tezpur University campus while in Biswanath and in Furkating cricket pavilions along with centre and practice turf wickets with other facilities will be constructed. It is expected that all these grounds will be ready to host State and National level cricket matches under ACA & BCCI within next 6-8 months.
