Assam Cricket Association lays foundation stone of cricket pavilion at Dhubri

GUWAHATI: The foundation stone of the ACA Cricket Pavilion at the District Sports Complex, Jhagrarpar, Dhubri was laid by Romen Dutta, President, Assam Cricket Association today. The function was also attended by the secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Devajit Saikia and several other top officials of the association.

Speaking at the event Devajit Saikia termed it a remarkable occasion, as the pavilion, when complete, would be a much-needed addition to the existing cricket infrastructure in Dhubri. He added that the district of Dhubri had produced cricket prodigies like Javed Zaman in the past, and thus urged the present generation of cricket players to break all the shackles and make an indelible mark in the cricketing landscape.

It is to be noted that Assam Cricket Association has already developed 3 centre wickets and 2 practice wickets at the District Sports Complex, Jhagrarpar, Dhubri, besides developing its outfield.
