GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam, following a decision taken during an earlier Cabinet Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, officially handed over 9 acres of land adjacent to the ACA Stadium, Barsapara, to Assam Cricket Association on Thursday for the construction of a multi-level parking facility to be used during high-octane international matches as well as for other wide-ranging cricketing activities.

This additional plot of land will give a huge boost to the existing cricket infrastructure at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara, besides resolving the longstanding issue of parking constraints being faced by Assam Cricket Association from time to time.

The auspicious occasion was graced by Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Bimal Borah, Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Pabitra Ram Khaund, Circle Officer of Dispur Bhorot Konwar, President of Assam Cricket Association Romen Dutta as well as Secretary Devajit Saikia.

Assam Cricket Association extends its utmost gratitude to the Government of Assam led by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for its continued support and assistance to Assam Cricket Association in its endeavours. This is stated in a release.
