Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship: Abu Nechim Ahmed, Diwiz Pathak guide Bud Cricket Club to victory

GUWAHATI: Veteran Abu Nechim Ahmed, displaying a different role, guided Bud Cricket Club to 4-wicket victory over New Star Club in the Guwahati leg match of the 6th Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship at the Nehru Stadium here today. Abu, who was known for his swing and pace, today opened the innings for Bud Cricket Club and scored a half century (63 from 69 balls, five boundaries and two sixes).

Chasing 164 runs to win Abu made a crucial partnership with Diwiz Pathak (53, 61 balls, 4X5 and 6X1) who also scored a half century and remained unbeaten in the game. The third wicket partnership between Abu and Diwiz produced 77 runs. Earlier, New Star Club scored 163-9 in their 35 overs. Aditya Roy Choudhury (31) was the top scorer.
