Assam: State Aquatic Championship Gets Underway

Around 300 swimmers from different parts of the State are participating in the competition which will be concluded on June 12.

Guwahati: The 29th State Aquatic Championship got under way at the Bimala Prasad Chaliha Swimming pool here today.

The competition was inaugurated by the secretary of the Assam Olympic Association Lakhya Konwar in presence of former international footballer Debashish Roy, former international swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika along with president and secretary of the Assam Swimming Association Ranjit Borgohain and Bhaskar Ranjan Das respectively.

Around 300 swimmers from different parts of the State are participating in the competition which will be concluded on June 12. The State team for the next Sub Junior, Junior and Senior National Aquatic championship will be selected on the basis of performance in this competition.
