GUWAHATI: Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club (ASEBSC) continued their winning streak and registered 6th consecutive victory in the RG Baruah Super Division Football League at the Nehru stadium here today. The side defeated Assam Police Blues by a solitary goal in their sixth round match.

The result could have different if Assam Police Blues were able to convert even half of their chances they earned during the game.

In the first half, the side created several goal scoring opportunities and it was continued in the second half also. Unfortunately all of those chances were wasted by Assam Police Blues which also cost the game for them.

ASEBSC got their lone goal of the match in the 88th minute and it was scored by Nicodim Narzary capitalizing a lapse from Assam Police Blues defence.

ASEBSC are now leading the points table with 18 points. Assam Police Blues are at the fourth position with 9 points from their six matches. Sunrise AC (10 points from five games) and Maharana AC (10 points from six matches) are in the second and third spot respectively.

Tomorrow's match: Sunrise AC vs Navajyoti Club.
