GUWAHATI: Assam will take on Maharashtra in their opening group matches in the Ranji Trophy from tomorrow. The match would be held at Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Lahli. This season Assam will play under the leadership of wicket-keeper batsman Kunal Saikia. The selectors this time included four new faces in the team and a couple of them are expected to be the part of the first XI tomorrow.
Meanwhile Guwahati will also host two group matches of Ranji Trophy from tomorrow. At ACA Stadium, Barsapara Tamil Nadu will face Delhi while at the Nehru stadium Jharkhand to meet Chhattishgarh.
