GUWAHATI: Bampatner Bengenabari HS School, Charaideo stormed into the quarter finals in the U-14 Boys International Subroto Cup Football Championship defeating Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun in Bengaluru today. The fate of the game was decided by a solitary goal which was scored by Rahan Ahmed in the 40th minute.
In the quarter finals Bampatner Bengenabari HS School will face Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh on October 6.
Meanwhile Northeast teams dominated in the quarter finals line-up of the competition which was finalized today. Chawngfianga Middle School, Saiden, Kulasib, Mizoram will face H.K Singh Memorial Secondary School, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, Meghalaya in the first quarter finals and it will be followed by second quarter finals between Manikpara High School, Jhargram, West Bengal and Tashi Namgyal Academy, Gangtok, Sikkim.
The other quarter finals will be held between NNMHSS Chelembra, Malappuram, Kerala and Minerva Public School, Mohali.
