Bangladesh, Sri Lanka land in city to take part in the ICC World Cup 2023

GUWAHATI: Bangladesh and Sri Lanka today arrived in the city to take part in the ICC World Cup 2023 Warm-up matches scheduled to be held at the ACA Stadium here from September 29. Sri Lanka touched down the Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport this morning and Bangladesh arrived in the afternoon.

Guwahati will host four warm-up matches involving five teams. The other three teams are India, England and Afghanistan. India and England will arrive tomorrow and Afghanistan on September 30.

Meanwhile Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will do their first net session at the ACA Stadium tomorrow. Bangladesh team are expected to arrive at the ground around 2PM and Sri Lanka will do their net session in the evening. Both the teams will face each other on September 29 and the match will kick off at 2PM.

It may be mentioned here that before the start of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, all 10 participating teams will take part in two warm-up matches each. These warm-up matches will be played across three venues-Guwahati, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram- from September 29 to October 3.
