Big win for Gauhati Town Club (GTC) in Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship

GUWAHATI: Gauhati Town Club (GTC) thrashed Ankurjyoti Club by 9 wickets in a Guwahati leg match of the 6th Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship at the Nehru Stadium here today. A nice spell from Sumit Kashyap (5-19) helped Gauhati Town club to restrict Ankurjyoti’s innings 127 in 28.4 overs. Gauhati Town Club, rode on an unbeaten half century knock from Abhishek Gupta (52), reached the target in 19.4 overs losing a single wicket.

Gauhati Town Club, with this victory, now are at the second place in group B points table after three otuigns. City Cricket Club (6 points) are placed at the top in this group.

Tuesday’s match: Bud Cricket Club vs Titan Club.
