Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Roger Binny likely to visit Guwahati during T20I

GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association made an elaborate arrangement for the crowed who will visit the ACA Stadium, Barsapara to watch the India vs Australia T20I match. The third match of the series will be held on Tuesday and will kick-off at 7 pm in the evening.

Addressing the media at the ACA Stadium premises today the president of the Assam Cricket Association Taranga Gogoi said that huge crowds are expected on the match day as a good number of tickets are already sold out. “We are working hard to give smooth passage to the spectators at the stadium and have decided to open the gate at 4 PM,” said Gogoi.

Regarding the sale of the tickets Gogoi said, “The total capacity of the Stadium is around 37,000 and 25, 000 tickets are already sold out. As there is good demand so we are expecting that no tickets will remain unsold on the match day.”

It may be mentioned here that both the teams will arrive in Guwahati on November 27 and will stay in two seperate hotels.

The media briefing was also attended by the secretary and the treasurer of the Assam Cricket Association Tridip Konwar and Chiranjit Langthasa along with joint secretary of the BCCI Devajit Saikia.

Saikia informed the media that invitation was sent to both president and the secretary of BCCI Roger Binny and Jay Shah to visit Guwahati and witness the game. He also added: “A team of Rajasthan Royals is also expected at the stadium on Tuesday.”

It may be mentioned here that Rajasthan Royals will likely play a couple of their home matches in the next edition of IPL in Guwahati and they have planned to check the upgraded infrastructure at the ACA Stadium before the start of the season.

Meanwhile like the previous T20I matches this time also Assam Cricket Association will organize different events during the match to give entertainment to the crowd. Saikia said: “There will be multiple events on the match day which include a light show, laser show and firecrackers exhibition.”
