Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who won a medal in the Tokyo Olympics, will arrive at her home at Baro Mukhiya tomorrow.

GUWAHATI: Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who won a medal in the Tokyo Olympics, will arrive at her home at Baro Mukhiya tomorrow. It will be her maiden visit to home after the boxer collected a bronze medal in the recently concluded Games and is expected to stay with her family members for nearly two weeks.

The secretary of the Assam Amateur Boxing Association Hemanta Kalita said that the Arjuna awardee will fly to Dimapur and will move to her village at Baro Mukhiya in Golaghat district by car.

The village is already in a festive mood and the local people are eagerly waiting to accord a hero's welcome to their very own girl. The residents of Baro Mukhia village with the help of local MLA Biswajit Phukan already converted a dirt road leading to the Olympian's home to make it accessible by vehicles.
