GUWAHATI: City Cricket Club lifted the GSA Champions Trophy Cricket title defeating Bud Cricket Club by 34 runs in the final at the Amingaon Cricket Ground on Wednesday. Rode on a good unbeaten knock from Hrishekesh Tamuli (72, 52 balls, 4X6, 6X1), City Cricket Club scored 194-3 in their 20 overs. Wasiqur Rahman (51, 38 balls, 4X8) also scored a half century in the innings. Bud Cricket Club bowled out 160 (20 overs). Atul Singh (32) was the highest scorer and Pankaj Khadal bagged 3-29.
The closing ceremony was attended by Chiranjit Langthasa, Treasurer of the Assam Cricket Association, as the Chief Guest while Rajinder Singh, joint secretary of the Assam Cricket Association, was present as the Guest of Honour along with several GSA officials including president Paresh Chandra Das.
