Dhemaji lift JK Barooah I-D Cricket title

Dhemaji emerged the Champions of the JK Barooah (U-19) Inter-District Tournament 2022 defeating Jorhat by virtue of 1st innings lead in the final at Furkating Cricket Ground on Monday.

GUWAHATI: Dhemaji emerged the Champions of the JK Barooah (U-19) Inter-District Tournament 2022 defeating Jorhat by virtue of 1st innings lead in the final at Furkating Cricket Ground on Monday.

After scoring 248 runs in their first innings on Day 1, Dhemaji bowled out Jorhat for 161 runs in 47.2 overs to take vital 87-run first innings lead. Reshab Deepak scored 41 runs while Nehal Roy added 34 runs for Jorhat. Juseph Buragohain claimed 5 wickets for 25 while Anurag Phukan took 3 wickets for 48. Dhemaji managed 41 in 10 overs losing one wicket at close of the match.

Reshab Deepak was adjudged as the Man of the Match, Best Bowler as well as the Man of the Series. Sourav Mousam Dihingia of Dhemaji won the Best Batsman award.
