Dibrugarh lift Nuruddin Inter-District Cricket Tournament title Trophy defeating Silchar

Rahul Singh of Silchar proved to be a formidable force with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 85 runs. In reply Silchar bowled out 175 runs in their first innings.

GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh lifted Nuruddin Ahmed Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament title defeating Silchar in the final at the Amingaon Cricket Stadium here today. The match between the two sides ended as a draw but Dibrugarh emerged champion because of taking first innings lead in the rain interrupted final

Dibrugarh, opted to bat, scored 239 runs in the first innings. Neeraj Yadav (53), Ishaan Ahmed (47) and Rajat Khan (42) played pivotal roles in building their team’s innings. Rahul Singh of Silchar proved to be a formidable force with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 85 runs. In reply Silchar bowled out 175 runs in their first innings. Sunzow Brahma (55) and Amit Yadav (46 not out) showcased their batting skills but Dibrugarh’s Nishant Singhania (6-43) bowled beautifully and helped his side to restrict Silchar at 175.
