DIBRUGARH: Dr. Arnab Jyoti Baruah from Dibrugarh won bronze medal in the USA National Pickle Ball Championship held in Indian Wells, USA.

Arnab, a resident of Amolapatty, Dibrugarh, and the only son of Krishna Jyoti Baruah and Indira Baruah, started playing pickleball (which is the fastest growing sport in the United States) about two years ago and is the first Assamese to achieve this feat. He has been residing in the US for almost a decade for his studies and work. Despite being engrossed in a full-time job, Arnab’s unwavering passion for sports has driven him to this achievement.

Born and raised in Duliajan, Arnab’s love for sports started with his early education and initial sports training in tennis, table tennis and cricket. In the midst of his demanding career, his unyielding enthusiasm for sports has enabled him to excel. Arnab’s current endeavours are centered around his pursuit of excellence in the field of sports.
