GUWAHATI: Gauhati Town club (GTC) defeated City Cricket club by 7 wickets in the Pride Cup Cricket at the Amingaon Cricket Ground today. Gokul Sarma contributed well in the game with the ball. He took 3-17 and it helped the player to earn man of the match award also. His side Gauhati Town Club chased the 117 runs target in 15 overs losing 3 wickets. Dhrub Raj Borah (49) was the top scorer for the winning team. In the other game of the day New Star Club won against River Rine Club by 6 wickets. For River Rine, Arpit Nhatewara (51) scored a half century and Parvez Muharaf (41) was the top scorer for New Star Club. Chasing 136 to win New Star won the game in 19 overs losing four wickets.
