GUWAHATI: Girls’ Hockey Training Camp got under way at the Tayabulla Hockey Stadium here today. The camp, organized by the State Level Advisory Committee for Students and Youth Welfare in association with Assam Hockey, was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation Smriti Roy. The event was also attended by Gitartha Goswami, Member Secretary of the State Level Advisory committee for Students and Youth Welfare and secretary of the Assam Hockey Tapan Das. Around 100 players from 22 districts are participating in the camp from where the State team for the forthcoming Sub Junior National Hockey, scheduled to be held at Rourkela from May 4, will be selected.
