GUWAHATI: Nagaland Police will take on Delhi FC in the final of the 68th Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship scheduled to be held at the Nehru Stadium here tomorrow. The match will kick off at 2-30 PM.

It will be the second occasions when Nagaland Police will contest in the final of this prestigious tournament. Last time they turned out into the final was in 2009 where they lost to Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club. On the otherhand, Delhi FC will play their first Bordoloi Trophy final. So it is now sure that the tournament will get a new champion this season.

Nagaland Police qualified into the final defeating India club, Silchar by a solitary goal. In the other last-four game Delhi FC thrashed United Chirang Duar FC 4-0.

Delhi FC will undoubtedly go into the field with favourite tag. The side studded with a couple of foreigners including attacking mid fielder Kosuke Yamazaki and centre forward Arthur Kovassi, played good soccer throughout the tournament.

On the otherhand, Nagaland Police, which qualified into the semifinal through a draw after they jointly finished top with CISF in group league phase, failed to play impressive football in the semi final. They have to uplift their performance in the final if the side want to lift the title this time.
