GUWAHATI: Haryana defeated Assam by 99 runs in the Senior Women One Day Cricket tournament at Rajkot today. It was the second consecutive defeat for Assam in the meet.
Haryana today dominated in both the department. Batting first they scored 248-1 in their 50 overs. Two batswomen Bhawna (100) and Sheetal Rana (128) scored unbeaten century. Later they bowled out Assam 149 in 39.2 overs. Captain Monikha Das (42) was the top scorer while Sapna Choudhury (32) and Gayatri Gurung (32) were the other major contributors.
