GUWAHATI: Assam Stars defeated State team by 2-1 in an exhibition football match held at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium here today. The match was organized by the Assam Football Association to celebrate the Grassroot Day of the All India Football Federation. Dipu Mirdha and Parthiv Gogoi scored for the winning team while Tupu Brahma reduced one for State team. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Nandita Gorlosa and several officials of the Assam Football Association were present at the Stadium during the match.
