LAKHIMPUR, Sept 3: Koylamari Tea Estate won the title of Chief Minister's Tea-Tribe and Adivasi Football Tournament (Under 19, boys) as they beat Dejoo Tea Estate by 7-6 in the tie-breaker at the playground of Dejoo Tea Estate on Sunday. The tournament was organized under the auspices of the Directorate of Tea-Tribe and Adivasi Welfare, Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare in association with Lakhimpur district administration and District Sports and Youth Welfare Department.

The match was ceremonially inaugurated by Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah. Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, representatives of Naoboicha and Dhakuakhana MLAs, District Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, District Development Commissioner Utpal Borah, DSP (Headquarter) Deben Borah, DSO Sami Saikia, Koylamari Tea Estate manager Tarun Chand, Dejoo Tea Estate manager Jyotirmoy Kakati, social worker Phanidhar Baruah were among those who attended the inaugural and prize distribution ceremonies of the final match.
