GUWAHATI: A last-minute goal helped Gauhati Town Club to collect three points in the GSA Super Division Soccer League defeating arch-rival Maharana club by 2-1 in a well-contested match held at the Nehru Stadium here today. The first half ended a goalless draw.
It was Maharana Club which went ahead into the game through Debjyoti Balgiri in the 78th minutes. GTC took four minutes to return the goal which was scored by in-form striker Binan Singh. Gauhati Town club got the winning goal in the injury time and on this occasion, Kakhevi Asumi scored for his side.
