Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Bimal Borah today inaugurated two selfie points in the city to show support to the Indian contingent for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic.

GUWAHATI: Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare Bimal Borah today inaugurated two selfie points in the city to show support to the Indian contingent for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic.

Among the two selfie points one has set up at the RG Baruah Sports Complex and the second one at Dighali Pukhuri.

The Union Sports Ministry recently announced a cheer up campaign across the country and announced to launch nearly 6000 selfie points to create awareness about upcoming Tokyo Olympics and encourage the Indian contingent that will participate in the Games.

Inaugurating the Selfie point at the RG Baruah Sports Complex Borah urged everyone to show their support towards Indian contingent which will take part in forthcoming Tokyo Olympic. He also took a selfie standing in front of the selfie point.

Sports Minister also urged the local fans to support Assam Boxer Lovlina Borgohain who will be the part of Indian contingent in Tokyo. Lovlina, the lone athlete from Assam in the Indian squad, will participate in 69 kg category. A few hoarding with image of Lovlina, who is currently undergoing training in Italy, already installed at various point in the city to support the boxer.
