GUWAHATI: Navajyoti club registered their first victory in the RG Baruah Super Division soccer League here today. It was the second game for the outfit and they defeated Assam Police Blues by 2-0.
Navajyoti, one of the title contenders this season, played good soccer in the match but failed to open their account in the first half. They started the proceeding of the second half in similar style and waste three four opportunities before scored the first goal of the match.
Both the goals of the side was scored by foreign recruit El Hdji Ousseynou Kamara in a gap of five minutes. The match was 62nd minutes old when Kamara headed home a cross came from the right flank. In the 67th minutes Kamara was fouled just outside the box by a defender of Assam Police Blues and he converted it to a goal with a nice free kick.
