OILFC to face United Chirangduar in final of 69th Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship

GUWAHATI: OILFC will face United Chirangduar FC in the final of the 69th Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship which will be held at the Nehru Stadium on Tuesday.

Both the semifinals of the meet were held at the same venue on Sunday. In the first ground, OILFC defeated BSSSC, Kolkata by a solitary goal. United Chirangduar FC, in the second ground, won against ASEBSC by identical margin.

OILFC played good soccer in the semifinal and should win the match by a much bigger margin. The side lost three easy opportunities in the first half and a few more in the second. The lone goal of the match came in the 42nd minute through Akrang Narzary. OILFC was awarded a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sudem Wary took a beautiful shot which was headed in by Akrang.

In the second half BSSSC made a few raids towards the opponent goal but wasn’t able to get the equalizer.

Meanwhile in the second ground United Chirangduar FC, last year’s semi finalis, stunned ASEBSC by a solitary goal. The lone goal of the match came through Situ Basumatary in the 29th minute.
