GUWAHATI: The 103rd Birth Anniversary of Krira Mahiruh Pulin Das and Pulin Das Memorial Lecture will be held on November 1 at the India Club premises in the city. The function is jointly organised by the Pulin Das Birth Centenary Celebration Committee and Assam Sports Journalists' Association. Noted jurist and former Justice of the Supreme Court Dr Mukundakam Sharma will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and he will deliver the Pulin Das Memorial Lecture on the topic "New Thoughts in the Present Sports Scenario of India and Our Responsibilities".
The meeting will also see special felicitation to veteran sportsman and Chief Editor of "Prantik" Pradip Barua, the Guest-of-Honour on the occasion. Barua will share his memories of Pulin Das with the audience with a brief speech. Moreover, former Assam Sahitya Sabha President and presently the MLA of Sipajhar LAC Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi will also be present on the occasion as another Guest-of-Honour.
