Tanmay Rajbongshi wins Open Rapid Chess Tournament title in Guwahati city

Tanmay Rajbongshi emerged champion in the Downtown School Open Rapid Chess Tournament held in the city on Sunday. He scored 6.5 points from 7 rounds on way to finish top.

GUWAHATI: Tanmay Rajbongshi emerged champion in the Downtown School Open Rapid Chess Tournament held in the city on Sunday. He scored 6.5 points from 7 rounds on way to finish top. Abhirup Saikia got second position by scoring 6 points from same number of rounds. Nalinakhya Kashyap also scored 6 points but he was declared third on the basis of tie-break score.
