Guwahati: Sanabam Daman Singh of Manipur won the men’s 50 km race walk event on the second and final day of the National Championships here in Ranchi on Sunday.
The 30 year old Singh won the event in 4 hours, 8 minutes and 10 seconds, outside the Olympic qualification standard of three hours and 50 minutes.
It may also be mentioned that Gurpreet Singh of Punjab was second with a timing of 4.09.44 seconds while Anjani Singh (Uttar Pradesh) finished third with a timing of 4.22.37 seconds.
