Snigdha Goswami qualifies for Indian Women’s Professional Golf tour

DIBRUGARH: Eighteen-year-old Snigdha Goswami becomes the first woman golfer from Assam and the North East to qualify to play as a professional golfer in the Indian Women’s Professional Golf tour being run by Women Golf’s Association of India (WGAI).

Participating in the qualifying school that was played over two days in the Classic Golf and Country Club, Manesar, on March 15 and 16, she successfully cleared the playing ability test (PAT), to qualify to play as a professional.

So far, she was a regular player in the Indian Golf Union’s amateur circuit.

Snigdha is presently Bangaluru based, where she is pursuing her studies and undergoing advance training in golf. She is the daughter of Muscat based Rajnish Goswami and Umi Goswami.
