MADRID: Spanish La Liga club Granada on Friday named former Spanish national team boss Roberto Moreno as its new first team coach.
Moreno, who signed a two-year contract, replaced Diego Martinez, who decided not to extend his contract at the club after three years in charge in which saw him lead the side from the second division to a place in the quarterfinals of last season's Europa League in its first season in Europe.
Moreno spent most of his career as the assistant to current Spain coach Luis Enrique, working alongside him at clubs such as AS Roma, Celta de Vigo, FC Barcelona and in the Spanish national side. Agencies
